While on a weekend outing to Bisbee, we ran into a man preparing espresso at a roadside stand and giving it away for free. Good espresso, prepared on a decent machine with good crema, for free?
Well it turns out that Seth, the owner of Old Bisbee Roasters, is a shrewd businessman with a talent for roasting excellent coffee. We bought 2 lbs. of coffee (4 1/2 lb. samples) and just drinking my first cup of press-brewed El Salvador “Pulp Natural” inspired me to plug his business. Yes, it is that good.
While a bit pricey, Seth was knowledgeable about his coffees, had some really unique varieties available and had a certain caffeinated eccentricity that communicated a genuine enthusiasm for the business of roasting great coffee. Old Bisbee Roasters roasts and same day ships this buttery-black ambrosia overnight to your door, $12/lb., shipping included (or $10/lb in Bisbee).
